This area has been set up in order for you to understand what is expected of our breeders.
Due to a huge influx in interest in breeders joining us recently we have had to consider what is important to us to maintain the level of service that we are providing to our new owners and established breeders.
We have decided on the following two main criteria points to ensure that we continue to work with caring, knoweldgable and professional breeders.
All new breeders that join our Directory will need to have a current breeding licence.
Breeders that would like to know how to achieve this would need to speak with their local authroity. The current legistation says that anyone in the business of selling a litter of puppies and making a profit of £1000 or more needs to obtain a licence.
We ask that all of our breeders have had the experience in rearing at least five litters of puppies within the last 3-5 years.
We are aware that every breeder has to start somewhere and even though we will not advertise you as a breeder in our directory we would like you to know that we are here for advice should you need it so please do get in touch...
We are a group of breeders within the UK that strive to breed the best possible Goldendoodle puppies from health tested lines.
In order to do so there are many factors that we need to consider - this page has been created to help you to understand what we are looking for in our breeders.
All breeders within our directory have a least three years experience in rearing puppies - this doesnt have to be in Goldendoodles litters but breeding eperience is an absolute must.
All of our breeders know the pedigrees of all of their breeding dogs.
All breeders will put the health of their adult dogs first.
None of our breeders with repeat breed from bitches that have had a c-section.
All of our breeders will find the best possible homes for their puppies and all puppies will leave the breeder with a contract.
Puppies will not leave their breeder until they are at least eight weeks of age.
All puppies will have had at least one vet check within their time with the breeder - this check is preferred between the ages of 6-9 weeks of age.
No breeder will allow a puppy to leave them should puppy need veterinary assistance unless the new owner is aware and happy to move forward.
Breeders will not sell puppies for third parties - documatation will need to be seen and all paperwork should be in the breeders name.
If you have a breeding licence then please do let us know your licence number together with the name of the council that issued it.
If you have been in contact with your licencing team and do not need a licence please do forward on the written confirmation of this.
We are aware that different councils across the country are still working to different criterias and understand that obtaining the licence is not always straight forward or quick.
Our aim is to only work with licenced breeders but this takes time as with any new legislations that are put in place.
We will ask that you follow these guidelines in order to join our breeders directory:
Your breeding bitches are fully matured before you breed them (at least 18 months of age and preferably 2 years old) - no litters will be advertised on this site if bitch is younger than 18 months - not even accidents!
We ask that your breeding bitches have sensible rest seasons between litters - we do not permit repeated back to back breeding.
We advise that both Goldendoodle and Golden Retrievers are elbow scored but we require Standard Poodles, Goldendoodles & Golden Retrievers to be hip scored.
As a group we will accept the following scores (proof will be required)
Hips: a maximum score of 15 (for example 7/8=15 and the lower the score the better.
Elbows: a maximum score of 1 (for example 1/1=1 or 1/0=1
0/0=0 is preferred and of course is perfect.
Breed relevant DNA tests should be carried out.
We are here to advise you on this one but please note that prcd-PRA and PRA1/PRA2 are required.
We ask that our breeders have really thought about the stud dog that they use in terms of health, compatibilty and temperament.
When contacting us please let us know how much experience you have as a breeder, how many litters you have reared.
We are also very happy to work with less experienced breeders to ensure that things go smoothly from start to finish with their litters in order to gain the experience that they need to join our breeders register and advertise on our website.
We expect you to show all health test information and certificates to your new owners when they visit you.
We expect new owners to be able to meet mum and their puppies together in your home showing that they are home reared.
(we do not work with breeders that rear their puppies in kennels or outbuildings)
There is a one of start up fee of £50 which will cover all admistration costs.
After the first year we will then require £25 per annum to continue to be a part of our team - this fee will enable you to add adverts throughout the year as your puppies are available and looking for their new homes
Your contact details will be added to our directory page together with your county details so that owners are aware of where you are located in the UK. You must add a telephone number and email address in order for new owners to contact you direct.
Your adverts will be created once we have your text and photos which will need to be received via email and not facebook or messenger - adverts will be removed as soon as you request us to do so.
CONDITIONS:
We reserve the right to remove your details and adverts from our website at any time should you not comply with any of the above.
Any negative reports from new owners regarding the condition of puppies and their environment or paperwork issues may also result in us removing you from our website should we feel it necessary.
No refunds of fees will be given to any breeder at any point for any reason.
